Virginia Military Institute Notes Campaign Progress, Close Date
With more than $311 million in gifts and commitments raised from 14,829 supporters since Graham-Pelton first presented the Virginia Military Institute with a campaign recommendation and planning study, the Campaign Cabinet has set a campaign close date of June 30, 2017.
“This continued progress means one thing,” said Campaign Chairman Donald M. Wilkinson ’61: “a stronger VMI which has the resources necessary to carry out its mission of graduating honorable, resolute, and capable citizen-soldiers.”
Graham-Pelton’s counsel helped Campaign leaders secure two gifts of more than $20 million, 53 gifts and pledges of $1 million or greater, and inspire more than 40% alumni participation.
