Graham-Pelton Colleague Recognition Award Winners

Our mission is to elevate philanthropy so nonprofits can flourish.  And simply put, our people elevate us.  During this season of giving, we realize that our colleagues are our greatest gifts. In that spirit, Graham-Pelton is proud to honor some of the most exceptional members of our team with a Colleague Recognition Award.  These awards go to individuals who go the extra mile when it comes to ensuring the success of our clients and the well-being of our firm.  They also exemplify our core values of being focused, optimistic, authentic, empathetic, and bold.

We congratulate Katie Ault for earning the Believe and Achieve Award, an award for the colleague who best represents the firm’s core values, both internally with colleagues and externally with clients.  This honor is also especially meaningful because the winner is nominated and voted on by their colleagues.  Katie is an absolute workhorse, and in addition to the high volume of work she handles, she is incredibly efficient, has a keen eye for detail, and is laser-focused.  In addition to being highly responsive, Katie takes initiative in researching and adopting new systems and processes to advance our firm from an operational perspective while also keeping everyone on track towards project milestones, both internally and externally.

We congratulate Jim Rude for earning the Rock Solid Award, a new award that recognizes colleagues who are simply rock solid in everything they do.  Those who earn this award are steady, reliable, possess sound judgment, and are undeniable team players who also thrive independently, all while being committed to a high standard of work.  Jim goes above and beyond and can jump in on projects even at the last minute, ready to help.   He quite simply owns data analytics and is committed to making sure clients can use data to their best advantage.  Jim is bold, empathetic, and a confident leader who is simply rock solid in everything he does.

We congratulate Laura McGarry for earning the Ruffian Award, an award named after a horse named “Ruffian” who blasted out of her gate when the race started and truly gave her all.  Each year, this award is given to a colleague who has gotten a quick start right out of the gate.  Laura is gifted at being detail-oriented while simultaneously focusing on strategy.  She is poised, optimistic, and a strong team player.  She can forge strong relationships while helping to push a client’s mission forward.

We congratulate Meg Bailey for earning the Ruffian Award, as well, this year.  Meg assumes the lead in a modestly bold way, and this serves her clients well.  Not only does she take initiative in collaborating with clients and our internal teams, but she also spots opportunities to contribute value to the firm.  Meg is incredibly diligent, proactive, and has a keen eye for detail.  She is also equally poised for strategy-building as well as managing each client with diplomacy and through collaboration.

We congratulate Jackie Sullivan for earning the Impact Award, an award that recognizes colleagues whose work has had significant influence on the firm’s overall success.  Jackie is one of the most authentic colleagues we know while also being one of the most humble, too.  Possessing one of the best work ethics ever, Jackie heads up recruitment and also serves as an interim managing consultant while simultaneously delivering services onsite to clients.  Her mentorship ability is unparalleled, and her versatility is astounding.  Quite simply, Jackie assumes any role with ease, optimism, and gusto.

We congratulate Kevin Lynch for earning the CEO Award, an award reserved for the discretion of the CEO and that recognizes a member of the team who has demonstrated above-and-beyond effort and made a considerable difference in the firm’s growth and achievement.  Kevin contributes tremendous value in a very specific functional area that then bleeds throughout every facet of the firm.  He has a gifted focus on even higher levels of efficiency, accuracy, and professionalization.  Kevin shows a deep level of respect and interest in the work of every colleague and is an all-in participant for every aspect of the firm.  Kevin transformed the way Graham-Pelton operates, which enabled us to scale up in tremendous ways.

In addition, we also recognize Jen Harris for her overall outstanding performance in 2018.  Approaching everything with an entrepreneurial spirit, she is extraordinarily creative, collaborative, and open-minded.  Jen enjoys celebrating her colleagues’ successes just as much as her own.

We are thankful for all of the efforts of our esteemed colleagues.  Congratulations!
