Graham-Pelton is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Wood to lead the development of Graham-Pelton’s services to the Education sector in Europe. Andy has worked in a variety of senior roles in the development and alumni relations sector, in both established and new operations – most recently serving as Director of Development at Queen Mary University of London. He joined QMUL in 2012 and has delivered a significant step-change in philanthropic support, securing a number of transformative gifts from a range of donors in the UK and internationally.

Prior to QMUL, Andy spent almost a decade serving as Development Director, first at Mansfield College, Oxford, then at the University of Reading. Andy’s early career in advancement saw him hold positions at Girton College, Cambridge and Lancaster Royal Grammar School.

Andy says, “I have been an Associate with Graham-Pelton Consulting since they arrived in the UK. It has been a privilege to get to know some of their clients and to be part of Graham-Pelton’s impressive growth, and I am proud to be taking on this exciting new role.”

Andy has significant experience of working with institutional leadership and volunteers, building teams, and developing individuals. He is an expert at starting fundraising operations from a low-level, leading them to great success. Andy has been a CASE volunteer for many years, providing training on a range of fundraising topics, and is a past Chair of the Development Directors’ Forum.

Graham-Pelton Managing Director Susie Hills says, “Andy’s appointment marks the tremendous growth in our services to education clients in Europe. He has a wealth of experience in education fundraising and brings huge commitment to delivering great service to our clients.”
