Graham-Pelton has worked with the Development Director at the King’s School, Canterbury to provide strategic counsel on the school’s campaign. With an ambitious fundraising goal, Graham-Pelton focused on the major gift pipeline and cultivation plans for the school, with an aim to support the acceleration of fundraising to meet the needs of the campaign whilst providing coaching to the Development Director.
Graham-Pelton also conducted a thorough review of the activities undertaken by the Development Office, including job roles, experience, and perceptions of strengths and challenges faced. The audit included internal discussions with leadership and key stakeholders, including members of the Senior Management Team, to garner a greater understanding of relationships with fundraising and alumni relations as well as how the Development Office can be positioned appropriately to support the strategic ambitions of the school. We also carried out meetings with each member of the Development and Alumni Team, designed to build an overall picture of the team, job roles, current activity undertaken, strengths, challenges, and opportunities. These meetings helped with the collection of information and materials to support the programme assessment of the school’s Development and Alumni Relations Office operations and capabilities. Areas discussed and reviewed included staff and operations, fundraising, alumni relations, and development services.
