Graham-Pelton conducted a campaign readiness assessment in advance of a $600 million proposed campaign for Stony Brook University (including Stony Brook Medicine), part of the State University of New York network. In order to prepare Stony Brook for a campaign of this magnitude, Graham-Pelton conducted an overall advancement assessment to ensure resources were being invested and allocated wisely; a departmental productivity analysis to determine the structure and operational plan required for success; a unit fundraising assessment to create university philanthropic leaders and a strong culture of philanthropy; and a frontline productivity analysis to design high-productivity fundraising, ensuring strong return on investment. Following six months of detailed assessments, Graham-Pelton provided Stony Brook with a comprehensive and integrated plan with clear analysis and recommendations for staffing, department structure, infrastructure, advancement strategies, productivity, and more. Graham-Pelton also provided services to develop a multi-unit plan to engage Deans in the campaign and increase the return on investment in major gift fundraising.
