David W. Mehr
Vice President

David Mehr serves as one of Graham-Pelton’s vice presidents, leading the firm’s religious organizations practice group and providing counsel to religious organizations, higher education, and healthcare clients.  David’s expertise includes conducting and implementing feasibility studies, capital campaign management, leadership and major gift solicitation, board and volunteer management, development and fundraising strategic planning, prospect/donor research, membership campaigns, direct-mail appeals, in-bound and out-bound telemarketing, planned giving, and database management.

 

Prior to joining Graham-Pelton Consulting, David served as the director of Development for the Brooklyn College Foundation.  While at Brooklyn College, David helped to guide a capital campaign and lead the foundation’s annual fundraising efforts.  Prior to working at Brooklyn College, David was the director of Development at Seton Hall Preparatory School where he directed a capital campaign, annual fundraising efforts, and events for parents and alumni.  David has additionally helped to direct membership campaigns and development functions at New Jersey Public Broadcasting, WNYC AM/FM/TV, and Minnesota Public Radio.

 

David also served as a consultant with another national fundraising consulting firm where he provided fundraising counsel, guidance, and leadership to a variety of nonprofit organizations, including Catholic dioceses and parishes.

 

David received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his master’s degree from Emerson College.
